テツロー カサハラの漫画を原作にした『アトム ザ・ビギニング』は2017年春放送のTVシリーズで、全12話、1話約25分です。ロボット工学を学ぶ大学生たちを描く青年漫画原作のメカSFで、シリーズ構成は藤咲淳一、監督は佐藤竜雄と本広克行、制作はOLM、Signal.MD、Production I.Gが手がけ、続編『鉄腕アトム』へつながります。
