With The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya spanning a TV anime and a theatrical film, a limited-time ABEMA channel dedicated to the franchise has been announced.
The channel will open on Sunday, August 16, for a limited period. Over four days, the 28 TV episodes along with the theatrical film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya will be streamed free of charge every day. On Monday, August 17, which is marked as the loop entry day, the Endless Eight arc will be streamed continuously for 12 hours.
For fans, the channel brings the full TV series and the film together in one short window, with the Endless Eight arc presented as a single extended block on the loop entry day.
AniHeat's take: Worth noting for viewers who want to revisit the full TV series and the film together in one free, short-term window, especially around the 12-hour Endless Eight stream on August 17.
