The synopsis and advance cuts for episode 2 of the TV anime BLACK TORCH, produced by 100studio, have been released ahead of its broadcast on July 11, 2026 at 22:00.
Episode 2, titled "The Choice Is Yours," follows Jiro as he wakes up in a hospital room and learns he is under surveillance by the Kogi Onmitsukyoku, who inform him that he may be treated as a missing person due to his assimilation with Ragou, a legendary mononoke that had long been sealed away.
A non-credit ending video featuring the song "Groooovy" by I Don't Like Mondays. has also been made available, offering a glimpse into the everyday lives of Jiro, Ragou, Ichika, and Reiji.
