The production committee for the TV anime "Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia" has released the synopsis and scene cuts for its third episode, titled "The Unquenchable Flame."
The synopsis reveals that Shira urges Shitara to introduce the educated Shitara to Tolui. Shitara learns why the "Elements" was taken and Fatima was killed, realizing that reclaiming the "Elements" is her only path, which also serves as a signal for her revenge against the Mongol Empire that took everything from her. Upon meeting Tolui, Shitara introduces herself as "Fatima."
The anime is based on the manga by Tomato Soup, serialized in Akita Shoten's "Souffle," and set in 13th-century Mongolia. The manga ranked first in the female category of Takarajimasha's "Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023," was nominated for the Manga Taisho Award in both 2023 and 2024, and recently won the Grand Prize in the comic division of the 55th Japan Cartoonists Association Awards. The animation is produced by Science SARU, known for works including "Dandadan," "The Heike Story," and "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!"
The series is currently airing on TV Asahi's nationwide 24-station "IMAnimation" slot and BS Asahi, with the first episode airing as a two-episode premiere on July 4, 2026.
AniHeat's take: This update is worth noting for fans of historical dramas and revenge narratives, as the episode deepens the protagonist's personal stakes and the political intrigue of the Mongol court.
